Culiacán
Culiacán, the state’s capital, is second only to Mazatlán in its popularity as a tourist destination. The major attraction of this area is the natural beauty including its beaches. Bold visitors can discover virgin beaches, and other areas offer contagious fun and various seafood dishes.
Some of these beaches include Ponce, El Robalar, El Conchal and Arenitas. Médano Blanco, Vigía, Barra de la Tonina and Casino del Mar all satisfy tourist’s needs for tranquility and inspiration at the sea’s edge.
One of the main places for entertainment in the city is the Culiacán 87 Park. Culiacán 87 has sport facilities, swimming pools, games, 140 meter waterslides, artificial lake, peddle boats, boats with oars, horseback riding, kayaks, swimming classes, diving and snorkeling. Another alternative is the Civic Center Constitution with sports fields, zoo, open air theater, pond and regional history museum.
